It’s been 3 months since Julie Davy, our new Warden Finnerty’s caretaker arrived from Perth to the historical Coolgardie residence, formally occupied by Warden John Michael Finnerty in the late 1800’s.
Feeling welcomed and embraced not only by the Residence and the surrounding land but also the Coolgardie community. Julie has settled in easily and is thankful for the change of pace from her previous city life, she feels it has brought a sense of peace and quiet and a renewal of self.
Enjoying now living close by and spending time with her two grand-daughters and family, Julie enjoys creating a supportive and welcoming space for herself and visitors of the Residence while serving up the famous and delicious, Warden Finnerty’s Devonshire tea.
If you haven’t yet made the visit to Warden Finnerty’s Residence to indulge in a freshly baked scone and hot cuppa on the wide sweeping verandah while overlooking the town of Coolgardie, you’re missing out.
Grab a book or a group of friends and sit back and relax under the gum trees while enjoying the in- house made Devonshire tea by our new caretaker, Julie.
One of Coolgardie’s hidden gems and a fast becoming a well-known spot to visit in our historic, little town.
