Off Road Vehicles (ORV’s)
Having a dirt bike or buggy can be a lot of fun and the Shire of Coolgardie has plenty of areas to ride.
But, did you know that it is illegal to ride your dirt bike, quad or any other Off-Road Vehicle on any land, including public land, without consent from the landowners?
Shire Rangers are patrolling and monitoring for any misuse of ORV’s and kindly ask that the following be considered before you hit the dirt track:
- Riding of ORV’s should be at least 1km outside of the town sites
- ORV’s should be transported securely on a trailer or Ute to their desired destination
- PPE (Helmets, Gloves, Goggles, Guards etc.) should always be worn
- Have fun and STAY SAFE!
Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated and if you follow these simple rules, you will avoid the possibility of being infringed and refrain from being reported as being a public nuisance.
If you have any concerns or detailed information on the misuse of ORV’s, please contact the Shire on (08) 9080 2111.
