This month as part of our 3C Morning Tea we spoke of the benefits of the WA Seniors Card and the Water Corporate Swap Your Showerhead Promotion.
Living in the Goldfields we learn very quickly the importance of being waterwise. One of the easiest ways to reduce your water usage is by changing to a WELS 4-star rated showerhead. It has been estimated that you we can save up to 20,000 liters of water each year by simply changing the showerhead.
To claim you your new water saving showerhead is easy. Simply bring your old showerhead(s) to Coolgardie Community Recreation Centre with a copy of your latest water bill and we will swap it for a new one! Our morning tea group were very happy to learn about the benefits of the WA Seniors Card, with three residents now applying for their own cards. We talked about the benefits and concessions available such as
- 50% concession on regional transport with Transwa;
- Reduced water service, local government rates, emergency service levy;
- Spectacle subsidy;
- Reduced driver’s license, museum and national park entry and
- Security and Safety Rebate - which had everyone’s interest!
Following on from your previous morning tea conversation where the local Coolgardie Police visited presenting about safety and security at our morning tea, we delved a little deeper to find where additional help is offered.
