Libraries across the country celebrated National eSmart week from 6 - 12 September putting focus connecting safely in public libraries and at home.
We invited Mark Ing from Consumer Protection WA to guide us through a one-hour long scam awareness presentation with 8 attendees wanting to have all their scam and online questions answered.
We continued on to introducing the group to free available resources on the Be Connected website, an initiative aiming to empower all Australians to thrive in a digital world. If you wish to gain more knowledge about how to get started online, we will be hosting a free workshop in October for Get Online Week.
We have since signed up as a Be Connected Network Partner and will be introducing regular workshops in the near future.
Please do not hesitate to contact your KCRF staff if you have missed the opportunity to attend our workshop and would like to be informed about any upcoming workshops of this kind.
