On Thursday, January 9, 2025, the Kambalda Community Recreation Facility kicked off the year with a delightful community activity—Cake Pops!
The event, hosted by Jasmine and Brianna, drew over 16 excited kids who were eager to roll up their sleeves and have fun. The workshop began with the children forming small teams to mix and bake their cakes. Teamwork was the name of the game as the kids shared tasks, supported one another, and learned the importance of collaboration in the kitchen.
While the cakes were baking, the fun continued in the library. The kids enjoyed a variety of activities, including board games, basketball, coloring, and even catching a movie. These moments were not only filled with laughter but also helped build friendships and strengthen social skills.
Once the cakes were ready, it was time for the most exciting part—turning the baked goods into colorful cake pops! The children crumbled the cakes, shaped them into perfect little balls, and decorated them with vibrant sprinkles and frosting. Creativity flowed as each child proudly crafted their edible masterpieces.
The day was a massive hit, combining fun with valuable life skills like teamwork, creativity, and patience. The Kambalda Community Recreation Facility is thrilled with the event's success and is already planning more cooking workshops to keep the good times rolling.
Stay tuned for upcoming activities—there’s so much more in store for our vibrant community!
