Coolgardie youth had the incredible opportunity to attend the first of the Next Gen Art Workshops, led by the renowned local artist Em Anders. Held at the Coolgardie Recreation Centre, the workshop brought together a group of eager young artists, all ready to dive into the world of acrylic painting.
Em Anders, known for her vibrant murals and captivating canvases, shared her expertise with the participants, teaching them the intricate techniques of mixing and blending acrylic paint. The group also explored the art of layering, using various methods, and experimenting with paint dripping to create dynamic effects.
What made the workshop truly special was the hands-on guidance from Em, who provided one-on-one tips to each participant. The young artists not only honed their skills but also embraced the collaborative spirit of the workshop. Em was particularly impressed by how the group supported each other, offering suggestions, and sharing ideas, fostering a creative and encouraging environment.
The workshop was a resounding success, leaving both Em and the participants excited for the next sessions.
We are looking forward to seeing Shire youth at the next three workshops.
