In January 2020, Shire of Coolgardie Rangers will commence a new initiative to educate and ensure pet compliance in Kambalda and Coolgardie. Our Rangers will be visiting homes to provide the community with information on the mandatory registration & microchipping of all cats and dogs residing in the Shire.
Rangers will also be providing advice on the legislated requirements of keeping more than two (2) dogs or cats at a home. An application form to house additional pets is available at the Coolgardie and Kambalda Recreation Centres.
If your pet is not yet microchipped and/or not currently registered, please visit your local Recreation Centre to complete a Registration Form and pay for microchipping (if required). Our friendly team will arrange for a Ranger to contact you to schedule a time to microchip your pet.
During Ranger visits to homes in both towns, please be aware that, warnings and/or infringements may be issued should any property be found to be non-compliant in accordance with the Dog Act 1976, Cat Act 2011, related regulations and policies.
